The air cleaner industry, in meeting the need for better engine protection, simplified servicing, and adaptability in installation, has developed the heavy duty dry air cleaner. The element of the Tri-Phase heavy duty dry air cleaner is a treated pleated cellulose which is firmly positioned in a heavy metal gage housing. A discussion of this air cleaner in operation, together with test findings and recommendations for installation and servicing is presented.
