This paper presents results of tests performed on an axial flow turbine, showing improved efficiency. The turbine tested is nominally 5.24 inch diameter, with a flow factor of 47 lb/min. The turbine trailing edge blade length was modified and its performance tested in four increments. The resulting turbine performance increased by 2 percent from the baseline efficiency at a critical rating point. Performance at the maximum efficiency point improved 0.9 percent from the baseline efficiency.
