Test results are presented for a 410 KW (550 HP) single rotor engine at various operating conditions. Gear load vs. rato position is reported as well as harmonic analysis results. It was found that gear load reversed during each revolution. Maximum load was most sensitive to speed, with some dependence on torque, and no dependence on acceleration rate. The experimental method and difficulties encountered are discussed.
