A new approach to automated manufacturing of structural reinforcement preforms has been developed for RTM and SRIM applications. The process offers high speed and high volume composite preforms of unlimited geometries for load bearing structures utilizing a wide variety of reinforcement materials. The process enables specific distribution and placement of reinforcements in areas requiring maximum structural properties while incorporating statistical processing techniques to assure quality and structural integrity.
