The cooperative engineering program at General Motors Institute consists of alternating periods of classroom study and work in divisions of General Motors Corp. This offers the student the opportunity to relate continually his academic and work experiences. The program leads to a bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering. This paper describes some of the details of the program and the Institute's graduates.
