Precision rolling of gas turbine compressor blades for use in aircraft and stationary engines is a reality. This manufacturing process has been used to produce blades of various types of metal, many being rolled at room temperature others requiring preheating. It also offers an economical method of manufacturing huge quantities of parts of the same design. The most outstanding feature of precision rolling is the “repeatability” of the process.
