A method for stress analysis about the vehicle component is presented. It is based on the finite element method and component mode synthesis techniques. By means of the Monte-Carlo's method, a set of samples can be obtained from the stress spectral density computed. A fatique lifetime of the structure may be estimated using the rainflow method. As an example, a vehicle frame is discussed in this paper.
