Developing a checkout, servicing, and maintenance system for space operations presents several unique challenges. This paper describes the requirements that must be addressed if we are to develop the equipment that will perform the checkout, servicing, and maintenance of the Extra Vehicular Activity System (EVAS) for the manned Space Station.
