Many experimental works in the automotive world were carried out on active roll-control for “concept” passengers cars.In this paper, a realistic roll control system, using air springs as power elements is described. Air-springs can easily take place of coil springs.Theoretical analysis lead to a roll angle control by lateral acceleration as a suitable system keeping the vehicle's comfort at the same level, thus, bettering its handling.Descriptions of components developments on air springs, electronic systems, sensors are made.Test results made on available passengers cars show that response time, air consumption an handling of the car fulfil the initial aims.
