This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) contains technical information for conducting and evaluating the minimum inlet pressure capability of axial piston pumps. There is a need to provide the aerospace industry with recommendations on how to conduct and evaluate minimum inlet pressure testing for axial piston hydraulic pumps where entrained air can negatively impact pump performance. This document meets this need.
