The electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of wiring is determined by its electromagnetic field and impedance. The field and impedance can be calculated at any frequency using electromagnetic finite elements. Skin effects and proximity effects are included in the calculations. Examples given here include the analysis of a spark plug wire in an automotive engine compartment.
