This document describes standard test methods, analysis methods, and reporting methods for measuring the resonant modes of automotive disc brake rotors and drums for design/development and production verification of these components. This revision includes updates and additions to accommodate laboratory rotor and drum modal analysis, which is very useful in the design/development phase of an automotive brake system.
