Abstract This paper gives a description of the SSA-NEO segment and presents its content, capabilities, and basic features. The SSA-NEO segment is intended to estimate risks of collision of the known NEO objects with the Earth, to observe these objects, and to support appropriate programs of international cooperation and measures of reducing this hazard.
