In this study, a voltage superposition concept is used without phase adjustment of the input current command and without enlarging the turn-on period of the switch in the vicinity of the zero input voltage, but only with a few components added to the PFC converter, so as to improve the zero-crossing distortion of the input current, thereby further reducing the total harmonic distortion. Eventually, the mathematical deductions and experimental results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed circuit.
