Hyland features Karen Berbger, an AIAA Senior Member, and the Langley Aerothermodynamics Laboratory Facility Manager at the NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton, VA. Berger was the winner of the 2017 Lawrence Sperry Award. Berger began her career at NASA working on the Space Shuttle Return-to-Flight program in 2005. In response to a critical program need she became a subject-matter expert on boundary-layer transition.
