he Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) welcomed 2016 as a year of transformation. With the International Board of Direction and new Executive Director & CEO Jeffrey F. Paniati leading a "new" ITE, volunteer leadership and headquarters staff have been working together to deliver an ITE experience that puts members at the forefront of the transportation profession. In the past 11 months, ITE has delivered both new and improved products, strengthened and opened communication channels, and expanded outreach to involve new partners. Membership has grown by more than 850 people and networking opportunities have expanded. What hasn't changed? This is your ITE. Serving members is at the core of headquarters' efforts to support ITE's community of transportation professionals. Feedback from the February 2016 member survey informed many of the initiatives that took place this year and will guide activities in 2017 and beyond.
