Robert Frost wrote once, the world is full of willing people; some willing to work, the rest willing to let them. He tends to favor the former and have always been one who has liked to get involved in things. Earlier in her life getting involved was way of belonging. Over the years, he has discovered that her service and involvement could make a difference from time to time, and he has learned that the reward was not the recognition of being involved, but rather the satisfaction of having helped to make something or someplace just a little bit better than you found it. He believes the Burton W. Marsh Distinguished Service Award is about volunteering, trying to make the ITE community better, and being a professional. ITE has many members who are committed to service and volunteering their time to ITE as well as other worthy causes. It also has many members who are not involved much beyond paying their member dues.
