The National Operations Center of Excellence will open Jan 11, 2015 during the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting. Dennis Motiani, a well-known leader in transportation systems management and operations (TSM&O), has been named executive director for the new National Operations Center of Excellence. The National Operations Center of Excellence is designed to offer a centralized and comprehensive set of resources to serve the TSMamp;O community. Among the services the Center will provide are peer-exchange webinars; national and regional summits; and on-call assistance to transportation agencies and other organizations to identify best practice material and other resources for specific technical and policy issues. Federal Highway Administration, The executive director is advised by a board of directors composed of representatives from state, regional, and local transportation agencies, private industry, and the federal government.
