Rapid technology growth and accessibility have changed the way people in the modern, developed world interact. The doubling of computing power every two years over the past 40 years as predicted by Intel co-founder Gordon Moore combined with the advent of the Internet has underpinned an accelerating pace of technological innovation in almost every industry. As a result, each modern generation has come of age in a time of new and ever more ubiquitous technology. Information economy jobs have supplanted many of the industrial and manufacturing sector jobs of previous generations. These jobs are less about performing repetitive tasks and punching a clock at the end of a shift, and more about outcomes based on data, ideas, and creativity. The firms that win in the future will win the war for talent, since smart, creative talent is what drives the information economy. Every organization has a unique culture.
