Iannotta interviews Lt Gen Robert P. Otto about what it means to be the Air Force's senior intelligence officer and how he goes about understanding the technologies in these really sophisticated aircraft. Otto cites some of the innovations that he has seen or that he would like to see in ISR. He also tackles the status of the plan to retire the U-2 and how he feels about retiring them. Moreover, he explains how the relative lack of US troops on the ground in places like Africa, Afghanistan and the Middle East affects the kinds of aircraft and sensors he flies. Finally, he discusses how the MQ-9 ER is working for him and how important is radar stealth for his missions going forward.
