Spectroscopic technique useful in measuring temperature and pressure of oxygen in laboratory experiments involving high temperatures and/or high pressures. Devised for use in experiments in which oxygen or gas containing oxygen subjected to sudden adiabatic compression, as in shock tube. Also useful in combustion experiments and other experiments in which gaseous oxygen plays role.
