The Space Shuttle Orbiter Endeavour undertook its maiden mission (STS-49) on May 7, 1992, exactly one year after its arrival at the Kennedy Space Center, in order to attach a perigee 'kick-motor' to the Intelsat-VI communications satellite which would carry it from the LEO where it was marooned to GEO. Endeavour's secondary payload was the Assembly of Space Station by Extravehicular Methods experiment. A log is here presented of STS-49.
