Alternative method proposed for characterizing mode-I fatigue delamination by use of double-cantilever-beam (DCB). In new method, one monitors number of cycles, N, to onset of delamination from end of thin insert. Fiber bridging avoided. Results presented easily in form of G-vs.-N plot.
