This paper extends an earlier developed mirror motion compensation (MMC) scheme (Chu, 1989, 1990) which calculates, on-board and in real time, the spacecraft motion induced by a slewing payload, to cases where one of the four conditions of the MMC scheme is not met. The analysis, the design methodology, and a case study related to the application of MMC to compensation for flexibility effects are presented. A sensitivity study is carried out to determine the compensation efficiency when uncertainties exist in parameters of the dynamic interaction model.
