New algorithms proposed to reduce acceleration and velocity perturbations caused by transitions between control modes of servocontrol system. Consists of position-control loop closed around rate (velocity)-control loop. Rate loop analog type-1 controller. Rate command (voltage) from position-loop controller compared to filtered tachometer feedback rate (voltage) to create rate error. Rate loop adjusts actuator-command signal to null rate error, causing antenna to turn at commanded rates.
