Quasi-optical reflection cavity serves as prototype resonator for oscillators at millimeter and submillimeter wavelengths. Exploits diffraction and reflection effects to achieve high Q. Useful mainly at wavelengths too short for conventional waveguide techniques but too long for optical techniques.
