Electro-optical system developed to measure five components of coordinates representing position and orientation of model in test section of wind tunnel. Located entirely outside test section, uses small lasers as sources of light and self-scanning linear photodiode arrays (LPDA's) as sensing elements. With improvements in measuring ranges, adapted for use in other aerodynamic applications.
