Options for delivery of Uranus payloads are covered extensively. Launch energy charts are supplied for ballistic trajectories to Uranus for direct, Jupiter gravity-assist, and Saturn gravity-assist missions launching from 1982 to 1995. Both early reconnaissance (flyby) and orbiter missions are considered. Performance charts for low-thrust, Delta Vega, planetary gravity-assist, and combinations of these modes are plotted in terms of net orbited mass and trip time to Uranus. Discussion and illustration of the effects of the unique Uranus system oritentation on Uranus encounter geometry with trajectory arrival date is covered. Example mission designs are characterized for several delivery modes.
