Charge sensitive amplifier outputs bipolar pulse with maximum peak of 5 volts. This is applied to negative inputs of two high-speed comparators. These change output states only if pulse applied to negative inputs exceeds dc bias on their positive inputs. Output is transferred to digital event counter.
