A few of the advances and theoretical issues gained or raised by recent missions of unmanned spacecraft, notably Mariner 9, Pioneer 10, and Mariner 10, are discussed. Emphasis is on dynamics. Workers reviewed include Murray et al, Young, Marov et al, Hansen (Venus), Leovy, Sagan, Masursky, Leighton and Murray, Hartmann, Goody, Conrath (Mars), Gehrels et al, Williams and Robinson, Westphal, Kliore et al (Jupiter), Trafton, Hunten, Gillette et al, Pollack, Danielson et al (Titan). Planned future spacecraft missions are mentioned.
