A general overview of the LST Program and the basic elements of the system are described. The LST schedule is discussed. The importance of properly balancing the performance of LST elements and understanding their cost/performance relationships is emphasized. Particular attention is given to the LST/Shuttle interface and on-orbit maintenance modes.
