The nature of aerospace noise-induced vibration problems is summarized, with emphasis placed on reviewing and categorizing types and sources of noise which are significant in such problems. Physical characteristics of representative noise loads associated with propellers, turbojet engine exhausts, and sonic boom waves are presented. Examples of noise-induced structural vibrations are discussed.
