The Workshop addressed two main aspects of highway loads - the 80,000-lb. gross truck load and the springtime load limitation policies. Expanding the 80,000-pound Trunk Highway System; Managing Deficient Bridges on the Trunk Highway System; Short- and Long-Term Cost Implications of Mn/DOT Weight Policy Change; Identifying Long Term Directions for Heavy Vehicle User Charges and Regulation Criteria; Assessing Local Road Impacts; Improving Administration of Transportation Weight Policy.
