The book deals with Soviet civilian aviation. The first historical chapter presents the story of Russian and Soviet aviation, both military and civilian. Subsequent chapters deal with current work of Aeroflot in passenger communication, agricultural aviation, and medical and special applications. More interesting achievements in sports aviation are given, design teams working for the needs of civilain aviation are introduced, and the aviation industry and some specific plants manufacturing planes and equipment for civilian aviation are described.
