The attitude and orbit control experience gained with the first two Eutelsat satellites is described. The main satellite characteristics are introduced. The different operational modes are addressed with a design summary followed by the operational experience. Reference is made to flight data taken from the transfer orbit and on station control centers. A section on the station keeping experience is presented which includes strategies developed and accuracies achieved.
