Flying surveys with remote sensing equipment have some special aspects. Those characteristics of the equipment relevant to the execution of survey flights are mentioned. The influence of weather conditions on the results of remote sensing flights is discussed. Attention is given to the navigation task: namely, the required accuracies, and the systems available.
