This volume in a series of reports provides user instructions and documentation for the Extended Season Program (ESP) developed under sponsorship of the Maritime Administration. The program analyzes the costs and benefits accruing to a Great Lakes shipowner in operating an individual vessel in the bulk trades in an extended shipping season. The program can deal with a large variety of ship types, shipping routes, and conditions of winter environment.
