This Coastal and Hydraulics Engineering Technical Note (CHETN) summarizes several empirical ship squat predictions based on Permanent International Association of Navigation Congresses (PIANC), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Japanese guidance. A Fortran program was written and its use is described along with some comparisons for a typical bulk carrier and three different channel configurations.
