Bird-aircraft collisions were studied, and maps of areas with enhanced collision risk were made. Bird weights and impact energies, dangerous times, dangerous heights, and the number of birds are discussed. The behavior of pilots with a view to the avoidance of bird-aircraft collisions is presented. The perturbation of the bird world by aircraft is explained. A list and a map of protected areas with enhanced collision risk are given.
