The development of a computer program for the mission analysis of solar electric propulsion (MAPSEP) is discussed. The computer program contains the basic modes: TOPSEP (trajectory generation), GODSEP (linear error analysis), and SIMSEP (simulation). These modes and their various options give the user sufficient flexibility to analyze any low thrust mission with respect to trajectory performance, guidance and navigation, and to provide meaningful system related requirements for the purpose of vehicle design.
