In October 1983 the Minnesota Department of Transportation conducted a workshop specifically to discuss the concept of noncorrosive winter maintenance. This proceeding contains edited transcripts of technical presentations given. The topics were causes of corrosion and measures to minimize their effects, motor vehicle corrosion, facts about salt, chemical alternatives to salt, noncorrosive deicers and potential environmental effects.
