This application design and implementation guide accompanies the Expert System Environment knowledge base, PTIKB. It is designed to address the design and implementation process of an expert system application based on requirements presented in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Section 4-C, Signal Warrants, and highlights some of the capabilities and features of the Expert System Environment (ESE) Program Product. This application is not a fully functional knowledge base for the Manual. It concentrates exclusively on the section of this manual titled Signal Warrants.
