A facility has been constructed for the study of the water-entry, water-exit and underwater trajectory behavior of small momentum-propelled missiles for varied launching angles, missile velocities and conditions of cavitation. Two specially developed associated instruments are also described; a side-view camera for obtaining detailed metric stroboscopic photographs and a device for simultaneously obtaining highly accurate missile water-entry orientation data.
