During the reporting period, the 223rd CSAB continued to provide fixed-wing aviation support to the US and Free World Forces located primarily in the II Corps Tactical Zone, Republic of Vietnam. This support was rendered utilizing the assets of one Utility Airplane Company, four Reconnaissance Airplane Companies, and one Surveillance Airplane Company. Changes in the organization of units within the Battalion were implemented on 27 Jan 69. The 223rd CSAB flew a total of 28,766 hours of combat support during this report period.
