A helicopter rotor control mechanism is provided in which cyclic and collective rotor control functions are by a single control wheel having three degrees of freedom and operable by either or both hands of the pilot as desired. The control wheel is rotatable and translatable on one axis and tiltable about another to perform lateral, collective and pitch controls, respectively, through non-interacting linkages driving conventional collective control, lateral control and pitch control push rods connected to a conventional rotor control head of the swash plate type.
