In this paper some results from model tests of a high speed patrol craft in a cavitation tunnel are given. Special attention has been paid to the determination of forces transmitted to the hull through rudders and struts. The resultant thrust direction has been calculated as the vector sum of shaft and strut forces. The influence of propeller loading and cavitation on the resultant thrust direction is shown to be very pronounced.
