The Notice to Mariners is a form of public announcement for the improvement of the means for navigating safely the vessels of the Navy, the Mercantile Marine and for the benefit of navigators generally. It concerns aids to navigation, channel conditions, dangers to navigation, marine danger areas, and general information reports. It is particularly designed for the correction of Nautical Charts, Sailing Directions, Light Lists and other publications aboard ship.
