The U.S. Army Defense Ammunition Center and School (USADACS), Validation Engineering Division (SMCAC-DEV), was tasked by the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) to test an M876A1 Telephone Maintenance Truck (TMT). The TMT is a modified M939Al chassis fitted with a commercially-produced Telephone Maintenance Truck Bed (TMTB). The objective of the test was to test modified vehicle for transportation by subjecting the truck to rail impact and road tests as specified in MIL-STD-810, Environmental Test Methods and Engineering Guidelines, and TP-91-01, Transportability Procedures, July 1991. The M876AI TMT satisfied the test requirements after hardware replacement and modifications were accomplished.
