The purpose of this research was to develop a discrete-event computer simulation model of the post-landing vehicle recoveoperations to allow the Air Force Research Laboratory, Air Vehicles Directorate to evaluate design and process decisions and their impact on RMLV regeneration time in the early phases of the acquisition process. The model is based primarily on the post- landing vehicle recovery process for the only reusable space vehicle in the world, the Space Shuttle Orbiter. However, it does contain some elements from the aircraft recovery process for the F-16 fighter aircraft.
