This report describes the Mass Weather Dissemination System Exploratory Engineering Model currently being tested in the Flight Service Station Engineering Laboratory. The object of this effort is to investigate through development, test, and evaluation, the application of digital technology to the mass dissemination of meteorological and aeronautical information. The prototype model is a fully automated system designed to transfer a significant amount of workload from the flight service specialist to system hardware and to provide better service to the flying public.
